Steve Lindsey

Steve Lindsey is the Chief Information and Technology Officer, LiveView Technologies. He was instrumental in designing, forming, and implementing the LVT Platform, the company’s video and IoT management system. Because of his intense technical background, he conceptualized and designed the software that powers the LVT Cloud Platform and every LVT Edge Unit. Lindsey joined LVT in 2011 after leading technology, software, engineering, and development teams at multiple companies including i3 Technologies and Novell.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in electronic and information technology from Brigham Young University. Outside of all things tech, Lindsey loves music, sports, and his family. He is married, has seven children, and lives in Utah County.

The story of LVT: The Seed of an Idea

In 2005, the seed of Ryan Porter’s idea took root. While working in construction financing, he had the idea to put a live camera on construction sites so homeowners could watch the progress of their home being built. He quickly realized this type of product didn’t exist, so he approached his colleague, Bob Brenner, with the idea. From this point on, Ryan and Bob began to create a new product and take it to market.
