Yonatan Geifman

Yonatan Geifman is co-founder and CEO of Deci, the deep learning company dedicated to transforming the AI lifecycle.

Yonatan co-founded Deci after completing his PhD in computer science at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology. His research focused on making Deep Neural Networks (DNNs) more applicable for mission-critical tasks.

During his studies, Yonatan was also a member of Google AI’s MorphNet team. His research has been published and presented at leading conferences across the globe, including the Conference on Neural Information Processing Systems (NeurIPS), the International Conference on Machine Learning (ICML), and the International Conference on Learning Representations (ICLR).

Recently, Luminary Chiefs wrote an interesting biography about Yonatan Geifman. Here is an excerpt:

To put all of you in context, This Deep Learning Development Platform called Deci was founded in 2019 by the man of the hour, Yonatan Geifman, Ph.D., and by Prof. Ran El-Yaniv, both of them being top AI researchers with advanced academic degrees from prestigious universities. Prior to joining forces to found Deci, their paths crossed during their academic journey, when Yonatan was a research intern at Google AI’s MorphNet team, while he was also doing his Ph.D. in Computer Science at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, where Ran was the Professor in charge of supervising Yonatan’s Ph.D. research, and that’s when they realized they shared the same enthusiasm about the use of Deep Neural Networks (DNNs) applied in Deep (Reinforcement) Learning. As a result, a few years later, they co-founded Deci together, where Yonatan also became its CEO and Ran its Chief Scientist.
