Priya Vijayakumar is the Co-Founder and CEO for WattIQ. She has over 15 years of experience creating and implementing global product strategy in Fortune 100, mid-cap and start-ups. She has successfully built and commercialized highly technical hardware and software product solutions through direct sales & channel partners.

Priya was the VP of Product & Marketing at two IoT start-ups, Cloudleaf & AeroScout Industrial (acquired by Stanley Black & Decker). Priya has also held multiple product and engineering leadership roles at GE Energy & Pratt & Whitney. She has a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toronto and lives in San Francisco, CA.

Over the last 15+ years of new product development in industries from Aerospace to Industrial IoT startups, the common thread for me has been the desire to build disruptive solutions and products in new markets. I’m stubbornly passionate about the business evolution that is possible when technology can be harnessed responsibly to remove the data blind spots and silos.

The economic potential of IoT in both the consumer and enterprise market is limitless but some of the early applications failed to deliver on ROI and ended up being far too complex to implement and maintain. Billions of devices are still “unconnected” and we have created huge inefficiencies in how we use resources, run our daily operations and even create products.
