Suzanne, can you start off by telling us about yourself and your brand that you’ve built?

Sure. I’ve been launching and growing businesses and non-profits for nearly a decade. Driving revenue growth and expanding customer bases is my passion.  I like to produce for the organizations I work with, helping them realize their potential. I’ve been fortunate to develop some great loyal relationships over the years.

In summary, I’m a contract revenue and growth strategist.

Can you tell us about your consulting company, and what services you provide?

We provide strategic marketing plans and implementation programs to organizations in alignment with where they are in their business cycle.  We advise companies on how to increase revenue and grow their client bases through optimizing marketing budgets and implementing digital marketing programs.

Why did you go into business for yourself?

Though I never envisioned myself as an entrepreneur, it’s been the recurring path for my career that I’m fully committed to now exclusively. I have gone back and forth a few times working for companies and for myself in different ventures but prefer the route of independence. It works best for me.

What types of businesses do you consult with/for?

Any business that is looking to grow digitally that already knows there are opportunities being lost due to a lack of consistent visibility. We work across the board in industries including technology, construction, professional services, agencies, and non-profits.

How do you find new clients? For people that want to work with you, what do you recommend?

Most of my work comes from word-of-mouth referrals from existing customers. Next would be social media as a door opener into a lot of opportunities.

Which social media networks are best for your line of work?

Twitter and LinkedIn.

As a marketing guru, how does marketing differ in your own business versus working in a large company?

My company moves very fast at executing. I often find myself working with small but mighty companies taking on bigger players either competitively or serving them as a vendor. David vs Goliath scenarios do exist everywhere, and I love working with resourceful CEO’s in that position.

When a company is flat but has a talented team with the right tools, everyone is empowered to take the lead and make decisions that can lead to rapid growth, that some would argue shouldn’t even be possible.

Were you ever influenced by other entrepreneurs?

Yes, every day. I’ve had the privilege of working with many smart and talented people over the years that have successfully built multimillion-dollar businesses, invented new products, have patented ideas and have multiple exits.
