Coruzant Technologies Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of https://coruzant.com, its subdomains, newsletters, magazine, The Digital Executive podcast, and related social channels (together, the “Services”). The Services are operated by Coruzant Tech, LLC, doing business as Coruzant Technologies (“Coruzant,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Coruzant Technologies, Coruzant Tech, and The Digital Executive Podcast are copyrighted.

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use the Services. If you use the Services on behalf of a company or other organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. About Coruzant and the Services

Coruzant is a technology media company, authority publication, and podcast producer. The Services include news, features, executive profiles, opinion pieces, press releases, the Coruzant magazine, the monthly newsletter, and The Digital Executive Podcast.

We also offer paid services, such as featured profiles, podcast guest appearances, sponsored content, and public relations partnerships. Paid services are governed by these Terms and by any separate order form, proposal, or agreement you sign with us. If a separate agreement conflicts with these Terms, the separate agreement controls for that engagement.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time without notice or liability.

3. Intellectual Property and Permitted Use

All content on the Services, including articles, podcast audio and video, transcripts, graphics, infographics, logos, the Coruzant and The Digital Executive names, and site design, is owned by Coruzant or its licensors. It is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and view the content for your personal, non-commercial use. You may:

  • Share links to our content on social media or other websites.
  • Quote brief excerpts with clear attribution to Coruzant and a link to the original page.
  • Embed podcast episodes or videos using the official embed tools provided by us or our hosting platforms.

You may not, without our prior written permission:

  • Republish, sell, license, or redistribute our content in whole or substantial part.
  • Remove copyright, trademark, or attribution notices.
  • Use our names, logos, or badges to suggest an endorsement, award, or affiliation that does not exist.
  • Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download content, or use it to train or fine-tune artificial intelligence or machine learning models, except as we expressly permit.

Featured individuals and companies may share their own Coruzant profile or episode and display a “Featured in Coruzant” badge we provide, as long as it links to the original page.

4. Submissions, Contributor Content, and Comments

“Submissions” means anything you send us: guest articles, interview answers, bios, headshots, logos, press releases, comments, newsletter replies, and feedback.

You keep ownership of your Submissions. By sending them, you grant Coruzant a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, edit, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, and display them in any media, including in promotion of the Services. You also allow us to use your name, likeness, title, company name, and logo in connection with the Submission.

You confirm that each Submission:

  • Is your original work, or you have all rights and permissions needed to submit it.
  • Is accurate and not misleading, including any claims about you, your company, or your products.
  • Does not infringe anyone’s intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights.
  • Discloses any material connection, payment, or conflict of interest relevant to the content.

We have full editorial discretion. We may edit, decline, reschedule, or remove any Submission, including paid content, if it does not meet our editorial standards or these Terms. We are not obligated to publish anything or keep it online for any set period, unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account.

5. Prohibited Conduct

When using the Services, you agree not to:

  • Break any law or regulation, or encourage others to do so.
  • Post content that is defamatory, harassing, hateful, obscene, threatening, or invades someone’s privacy.
  • Impersonate any person or company, or misrepresent your affiliation with Coruzant, including falsely claiming to be a Coruzant writer, editor, or podcast producer.
  • Post spam, unsolicited advertising, or links to malware or phishing sites.
  • Interfere with the security or operation of the Services, probe for vulnerabilities, or access areas you are not authorized to use.
  • Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access or copy the Services beyond what our robots.txt file allows.
  • Use the Services to collect personal information about other users, guests, or featured individuals.

Some content on the Services is paid for. This can include featured profiles, sponsored articles, podcast guest appearances, press releases, banner advertising, and affiliate links. We label sponsored content and disclose material connections as required by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission and other applicable rules.

Paid placement does not mean Coruzant endorses a person, company, product, or claim. Opinions in guest, sponsored, and opinion content belong to their authors and do not necessarily reflect Coruzant’s views. Press releases are published as supplied by the issuing organization.

We may earn a commission when you buy through affiliate links. This does not change the price you pay.

The Services link to third-party websites, podcast platforms, and social networks we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, products, privacy practices, or availability. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.

7. Podcast Guests, Interviews, and Recordings

If you appear on The Digital Executive or another Coruzant recording, or give us an interview, you consent to being recorded. You grant Coruzant a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to record, edit, publish, distribute, transcribe, translate, clip, and promote the recording, and to use your name, voice, likeness, title, company name, and biography with it, in any media now known or later developed.

We control all editorial decisions, including editing, episode titles, release dates, and whether an episode is published. Unless a separate written agreement says otherwise, we do not offer pre-release approval, and we may keep episodes available indefinitely.

Guests are responsible for the accuracy of their statements and must not share confidential information, trade secrets, or material non-public information they are not authorized to disclose. Guests may share and promote their episode using the links and assets we provide.

8. Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, and Indemnification

No professional advice. Content on the Services is for general information only. It is not investment, financial, legal, tax, medical, cybersecurity, or other professional advice. Do your own research and consult a qualified professional before making decisions. Mentions of companies, funding rounds, cryptocurrencies, or valuations are not recommendations to buy or sell anything.

As-is basis. THE SERVICES AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that content is complete or current.

Limitation of liability. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CORUZANT AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRIBUTORS, AND PARTNERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) US $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

Indemnification. You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Coruzant and its owners, employees, contributors, and partners from any claims, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from your Submissions, your podcast or interview statements, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

Copyright complaints (DMCA). If you believe content on the Services infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent at Coruzant Legal Department on our Contact page. Include: your signature; identification of the copyrighted work; the URL of the infringing material; your contact details; a statement of good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and you are authorized to act. We may remove material and terminate repeat infringers.

Corrections. To request a factual correction, contact us through our Contact page with the article URL and supporting details. Corrections are made at our editorial discretion.

Privacy. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal information, including through cookies, analytics, and newsletter sign-ups.

Termination. We may suspend or end your access to the Services at any time, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Sections 3, 4, 7, 8, and 9 survive termination.

Governing law and disputes. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Kansas, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

Changes to these Terms. We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version here with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Services after changes means you accept them.

Other terms. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them. These Terms, with our Privacy Policy and any signed agreement for paid services, are the entire agreement between you and Coruzant about the Services.
