Michael Aldridge is a seasoned information technology (IT) expert with over two decades of experience, primarily focused on healthcare and public sector innovation. His extensive career includes serving as Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Johnson County, Kansas Government, where he led IT initiatives that helped streamline operations and enhance service delivery. Currently, Aldridge works at Gartner. He is also a Senior Security Consultant for tw-Security, utilizing his deep knowledge of cybersecurity to protect organizations from emerging threats.
Throughout his career, Aldridge has been dedicated to improving the healthcare system on both local and national levels. He has been involved in several key initiatives aimed at enhancing healthcare quality and access. His work was recognized in 2012 when Ingram’s Magazine named him a Healthcare Hero. Additionally, he was honored as one of the National Quality Improvement Leaders by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) for his contributions to improving healthcare quality.
Aldridge has played a significant role in shaping healthcare policy and technology. He participated in the Kansas Health Information Exchange Policy and Technology committees, where he contributed to developing guidelines for secure and efficient health data exchange. His expertise in healthcare security also led to his involvement with the Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) National Security Advisory Council, advising on matters related to healthcare technology and data security.
In addition to his work in IT and healthcare, Aldridge is committed to promoting public health and wellness. He is currently serving his second term on the Kansas Governor’s Council for Fitness, where he advocates for policies that encourage healthier lifestyles across the state.
