Jerry Zhang is the co-founder and CEO of Lemma, a production monitoring and observability platform for AI agents. Originally from Canada, Zhang studied at the University of Southern California, where he met co-founder Cole Gawin through USC’s startup program. Before Lemma, Zhang co-founded Clinicode, a healthcare technology startup focused on automating medical insurance paperwork. He later helped build Lemma around a problem he encountered firsthand while working in AI: agents can appear to work while producing unreliable results in production. Zhang leads Lemma’s mission to help engineering teams detect, understand, and fix these silent failures before they affect customers.
