Jason Whitson is the Co-Founder and CEO of Wellcore.

A serial entrepreneur in the health and fitness industry, Jason eventually found his way to co-founding Wellcore after his own transformational experience with hormone optimization. After a crippling back injury at the gym in his late 20s that eroded his emotional, mental, and physical health, Jason found himself in a deep depression. After seeking medical help, he was shocked to discover extremely low testosterone was responsible for his decline, especially at such a young age. His own experience made him realize men avoid testing and seeking help due to lack of information and the stigma surrounding the treatment.

He has since made it his mission to normalize the conversation around low testosterone by sharing his journey and developing a holistic hormone optimization program which removes many of the barriers preventing men from seeking help such as fear of pain and resistance to visiting in-person clinics. As Wellcore’s CEO, Jason is responsible for designing, building, and operating an ultra-premium health & wellness business that scales through virtual care technologies.‍

Prior to joining Wellcore in July 2021, Jason Whitson served as Head of Product and VP of Digital at the SaaS Telemedicine company Medici, where he led Product, Marketing, and Customer Service. Jason’s teams were responsible for building the product and infrastructure that enabled the company to grow 20x before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. Before venturing into healthcare, Jason Whitson co-founded Gritness, a fitness technology startup acquired by Under Armour. While at Under Armour he led product, design, and engineering for the MapMyFitness platform and its 47 million users as well as the development of UA’s first ever smart running shoe.

Jason Whitson is a lifelong Austinite, athlete and former competitive mountain biker, technology innovator, team builder, and entrepreneur who approaches his career and business as a sport.
