Furkat Kasimov is a London-based entrepreneur, angel investor, and author with more than twenty years spent building and advising technology businesses.
He is the founder of AppLayerAI.com, a venture studio building startups in the application layer of AI, with a portfolio spanning insurance technology and AI-powered e-commerce, and of Qatlama LTD, which develops vertical AI solutions for fintech and insurance. Earlier in his career he built his lead-generation businesses to nine-figure annual revenue without taking outside investment.
Much of his current work centers on the layer most companies skip before deploying AI agents. He is the author of Ontology Is All You Need, a free implementation guide that gives midsize companies a ninety-day, vendor-neutral method for building a machine-readable model of their own business, the layer that decides whether agent projects succeed or quietly stall.
He also wrote Don’t Do This: A Guide to Business Survival, which catalogs roughly 150 preventable business mistakes across finance, unit economics, team dynamics, and execution. He completed MIT Professional Education’s program in Building AI Products and Services.
