Andrea Bonaceto

Andrea Bonaceto is an NFT visual artist based in London. In 2021 he received the Fellowship of the Royal Society of Arts. Andrea Bonaceto is inspired by people’s facial expressions and abstract artefacts of nature. He mostly uses acrylic colours on paper, canvas, gessobord and digital media via an iPad Pro. His main focuses are abstract artworks and portraits.

In March 2021, Andrea collaborated with Sophia The Robot, the most advanced AI humanoid robot in the world. Together they created a series of Non-Fungible Token (NFT) artworks that were subsequently sold on the leading NFT marketplace Nifty Gateway. Andrea Bonaceto is also Founding Partner at Eterna Capital, an investment firm operating in the blockchain space.

Bonaceto’s artistic philosophy extends far beyond the boundaries of the traditional canvas, creating an immersive, interactive narrative that invites viewers to engage on a deeper, more reflective level. As a result, his work primarily involves metaphysical explorations that challenge audiences to rethink the nature of existence and the interplay between culture and technology. Such an approach to art transforms the spectator’s role from a passive observer to an active participant, distinguishing Bonaceto’s artistic signature.

Central to this approach is his innovative work with Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a creative medium and partner, particularly in projects that merge human creativity with AI’s computational power. In 2021 Bonaceto collaborated artistically with artificial intelligence robot Sophia addressing the potential of AI as a co-creator. Bonaceto’s artwork AB INFINITE 1, can update itself through user interactions on social networks. The piece was auctioned at Christie’s 20th/21st Century London Evening Sale on October 13, 2022, as the only digital work in the lot. His artwork titled TEMPUS FUGIT was offered in a standalone auction at Phillips on 1-5 June, 2023.

Bonaceto’s work has been featured in international venues and institutions globally such as Museo della Permanente (Milan, IT), CAFA Art Museum (Beijing, CN), Musée des Art Décoratifs (Paris, FRA), W1 Curates (London, UK), Christie’s (London, UK), Phillips (London, UK), Times Square (New York, USA), Art in Space (Dubai, UAE), Decentral Art Pavilion (Venice, IT), among others. Bonaceto has received several awards which includes Forbes 30 Under 30 Italy, Talented Young Italian Award, Fortune 40 Under 40 Italy.
