John Lester is the VP of Operations at Oneiro, and is a community builder and fintech pioneer. He has led projects and teams from startups to Fortune 100 companies, and his background includes neuroscience, cryptocurrencies, metaverse and NFT development. John is an active member of leading NFT projects where he pioneers the use of NFTs in virtual wordsfashiondecentralized identityartist collectives, and fractionalized IP governance.

John “Pathfinder” Lester is a software executive, community builder and fintech pioneer. He has led projects and teams from startups to Fortune 100 companies, and his background includes neuroscience, cryptocurrencies and immersive education.

As an independent contractor and consultant, John currently focuses on decentralized communities, financial technology innovations in emerging markets, and open payment networks. He’s Head of Product for npayme Labs and develops applications for npayme, a network of web3 dApps built to supercharge community engagement, monetization and loyalty. He’s also VP of Operations for Oneiro (ndau), building the world’s first adaptive digital currency designed and optimized for a long-term store of value with sustainable staking yields. John contributes to open source projects like Ravencoin, developing new financial instruments and issuance platforms for traditional securities and digital assets. And he’s also a participant in the Bitcoin Lightning Network, managing routing nodes and building the global permissionless open payment network of the future.

With his background in neurology, John developed the first immersive medical education products and online patient support communities while doing research at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. John co-founded the the first computer security hackerspace “The L0pht,” he’s a long-standing member of the oldest white-hat hacker group “Cult of the Dead Cow” (handle: Count Zero) and he led the development of pioneering immersive learning initiatives for the virtual world Second Life while working at Linden Lab.

His hobbies include being a friend to animals, experiencing art, and exploring abandoned buildings with FPV drones.
