Jake Sylvestre is the founder of Hypercall, an on-chain options exchange built on Hyperliquid. An entrepreneur and engineer, his career spans cybersecurity, cryptocurrency and financial infrastructure.
Before founding Hypercall, Jake Sylvestre led engineering at Synapse Protocol, a cross-chain platform that enables users to move assets between blockchains. Synapse reports more than $55 billion in cumulative transaction volume and 2.5 million users. His experience there involved building the infrastructure connecting separate blockchain networks.
Sylvestre began his entrepreneurial career in high school, co-founding PhishTrain, a cybersecurity awareness training company. The company used simulated phishing emails to identify employees who needed additional training, helping businesses target their security education efforts. He subsequently worked on incident response, where ransomware cases introduced him to Bitcoin. His cryptocurrency work also included contributions to btcd, a Bitcoin software implementation.
At Hypercall, Jake Sylvestre focuses on options trading infrastructure, including pricing, liquidity and risk management. The platform offers around-the-clock options trading across cryptocurrency and equity markets, including nights and weekends. It supports fractional positions and strategies such as calls, puts and spreads, allowing traders to choose their position size. His published engineering updates address options pricing models, margin requirements and integration with Hyperliquid’s existing trading infrastructure.
