Harvey Liu is the Chief Executive Officer of LeveX Exchange, a crypto exchange created by traders who believe that sharing strategies and successful trades builds a stronger community where everyone wins.
A veteran entrepreneur and investment strategist, Harvey brings over 15 years of expertise spanning blockchain technology, venture capital, and financial markets to LeveX. His leadership is defined by a rare combination of technical knowledge, investment acumen, and a community-first philosophy that has shaped LeveX’s distinctive approach to cryptocurrency trading.
Harvey’s journey in blockchain began in 2013 when he was among the first wave of Bitcoin investors in China. While working at a leading venture capital firm, he conducted due diligence on early crypto exchanges including Huobi, BTCChina, and OKCoin, gaining invaluable insights into exchange operations and market dynamics from the ground floor of the industry.
Prior to founding LeveX, Harvey served as a Venture Partner at a MAS-licensed VCFM fund focused on Web3 investments. There, he led research and due diligence on multiple CEX, GameFi, and infrastructure projects, personally interviewing over 50 Web3 teams and completing millions in strategic investments. This experience provides him with comprehensive understanding of the challenges traders face and the potential for community-driven solutions.
Harvey’s global perspective has been shaped by his diverse professional background across Asia, North America, and Europe. He began his career in technology as a network specialist at Shaw Communications in Canada before transitioning into management consulting and then venture capital in China, where he focused on digital marketing and fintech investments.
An INSEAD MBA graduate with a background in computer science, Harvey combines technical expertise with business acumen. He is known for identifying long-term opportunities in rapidly evolving markets and developing strategies that balance innovation with practical execution. As an early crypto adopter and active trader himself, Harvey has experienced firsthand the isolation many traders feel and is dedicated to building a platform where shared knowledge benefits the entire community.
When not leading LeveX’s growth, Harvey enjoys console gaming (a passion that stretches from the original Nintendo FC to PS5) and traveling to connect with nature and diverse cultures across the globe.
