Aliya Aaron is a seasoned healthcare professional with over two decades of experience as a Registered Nurse, entrepreneur, startup investor, and advisor. Her extensive expertise spans healthcare technology, innovation, and clinical care, positioning her as a trailblazer in the intersection of nursing and technology. Aliya’s work is driven by a passion for improving patient outcomes through innovation and the empowerment of healthcare professionals, particularly nurses.
In 2010, Aliya founded AMR Healthcare Consulting, LLC (AMR), an award-winning technology firm that provides software development services tailored to the healthcare industry. AMR has built a solid reputation for its innovative solutions and was recognized as one of the “20 Most Promising Healthcare Consulting/Service Companies” by CIO Review in 2019. The firm’s clientele is diverse, including health systems, hospitals, clinics, private practices, long-term care facilities (LTACs), skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), laboratories, and startups in the health tech space. Through AMR, Aliya has played a pivotal role in shaping technology strategies for a variety of healthcare organizations, from large systems to emerging companies.
In 2019, Aliya launched Nursing Innovation Hub, Inc. (NIHUB), an incubator and accelerator for nurse-led tech startups. NIHUB’s mission is to empower nurses to become innovators by providing them with a global platform and a robust network of resources, technology, and expert guidance. The platform leverages matchmaking algorithms to connect nurse entrepreneurs with the tools and partnerships they need to transform their high-tech ideas into solutions that enhance patient care. NIHUB collaborates with leading tech firms and healthcare organizations, fostering innovation across the sector.
Aliya’s achievements and thought leadership in healthcare technology have garnered her widespread recognition, including features in top industry publications such as CIO Review, Women in Tech Review, Med Tech Outlook, and more. She was also honored as one of South Florida’s Top Black Healthcare Professionals in 2019. Aliya holds a Master of Science in Health Systems Management from George Mason University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Winston-Salem State University, underlining her commitment to both the clinical and technological aspects of healthcare.
