Alfredo González Briseño is a policy innovator and expert specializing in the governance of regulation, including regulation of Artificial Intelligence. He has advised governments worldwide on business environment reforms, focusing on the “how” to regulate, designing more efficient, transparent and predictable regulatory frameworks that build trust.
He is the author of the recently published book “Better Regulations, Better AI Results: The Overlooked Policy Framework Governments and Policymakers Need to Regulate and AI-Driven World.”
Alfredo is also the founder of fAIrly simple, a GovTech startup using AI to transform complex regulations into something simple, clear and accessible, so people can make smarter decisions.
Before fAIrly simple and becoming a first-time author, Alfredo spent more than 15 years in the halls of multilateral development banks in Washington, D.C., where he supported, designed and led strategic public policy projects across Latin America, Southeast Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. He advised and advocated for regulatory reforms and digital transformation, created dialogue and built relationships with senior government officials, regulators, industry leaders, and think tanks, and advanced agendas on national competitiveness, economic growth and a better investment climate.
With his career in Washington D.C. and upbringing in Mexico, he brings a global perspective that connects high-level policy discussions with practical solutions responding to local regulatory challenges. He also authors the responsible AI publication fAIr and square on Medium.com.
