Alexander Farr is the Co-Founder and COO of Clera, where he built and leads the system that transforms passive professionals into active candidates at scale. Under his leadership, Clera has grown to represent more than 60,000 tech professionals. Alex designed the company’s sourcing engine, outreach infrastructure, and engagement model from the ground up, centered on a key insight: instead of requiring talent to join yet another platform, Clera meets candidates where they already are. Today, he oversees qualification flows, candidate lifecycle management, and the ongoing career relationships that make Clera’s matching improve over time.
Before Clera, Alex developed a deep understanding of recruiting from the hiring side. As Chief of Staff at a Series A startup, he helped scale the business to €10 million in ARR while personally conducting more than 800 interviews and hiring over 80 employees across engineering and go-to-market roles. Earlier in his career, he worked at Flash Ventures (Rocket Internet), where he built his perspective on marketplace dynamics and capital-efficient growth. Alex studied at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), the University of Cambridge, and UC Berkeley. Born in Germany, he is now based in San Francisco.
