Digital Service Website Concepts That Are Taking the World by Storm

People want services faster and better than ever before. There’s an expectation that you should be able to click a button and get what you want at any time. Interestingly, many concepts that were once science-fiction are now becoming reality thanks to the power of digital technologies and digital service website concepts.

But what are they, exactly? Let’s take a look.

Remote Work Collaboration Tools

During the pandemic, many industry experts worried about the death of the “water machine” conversations. The idea was that staff had to come together around specific physical locations to share comments and ideas for brainstorming and creativity to happen.

However, that’s no longer the case. Digital service website platforms like Slack and Zoom proved that technology could replace many of these impromptu meetings, allowing staff to develop new concepts without being in physical proximity to each other.

In fact, these technologies more than any others seem to be leading to the end of the old office approach to work. Companies are realizing that they no longer need to have employees at their desks all the time and that they can actually squeeze more productivity out of them if they have freedom.

Machine Learning Services

Another futuristic concept that’s now our present reality is machine learning services. These “rent-a-brain” companies allow clients to tap into the power of artificial intelligence to solve various problems they face.

For example, suppose a company has data on its customers from several sources and they don’t quite match up with each other. Instead of paying a team of data scientists a fortune to stitch the information together, they can now feed it into the right type of AI system and get it to spit out insights that would have taken weeks for conventional analysis to see (by which time, it might have been too late).

Machine learning services are also helpful for other industries. For instance, pharma companies use it to identify promising drug compounds while automakers want it to design better chassis that can simultaneously house all their safety technology.

Numerous companies are already in this space including Google Cloud AI and IBM Watson. However, as AI becomes commoditized, more ventures will join them, pushing down the cost of business intelligence (and personal life planning) for everyone.

Multi-Currency Bank Accounts

Another concept that is growing in traction and importance is multi-currency bank accounts. These allow individuals to leverage the power of digital fintech technology, enabling currency exchanges and transfers to any bank

The technology to do this was available in the past, but it took a long time. Banks had to go through international clearing, which raised transaction fees.

But now services like Wise and Revolut are putting an end to this. These offer multi-currency bank accounts that allow cheap switching between currencies with attached credit and debit cards that work virtually anywhere in the world.

Car Registration Plate Selection Sites

Car registration plate sites are another example of how digital technology is streamlining life. These show all the private number plates still available that are similar to the plates desired by users.

For example, users could type in the registration B1 and the system would spit out any plates available, like BBB 112 or BAB 222, along with prices.

Before digitization, this process was difficult and time-consuming. Consumers had to go to extreme lengths to find the registrations they wanted and send letters back and forth to the proper government agency. Now, though, intermediate firms take care of the process for them, making it similar to virtually any other retail experience.

Streaming Services

Most people forget just how new streaming services are. Only in the last few years have they become a big hit.

Before streaming, you had to wait for broadcasted programs you wanted to watch to go live on TV. But now, the on-demand economy means you can watch anything, anytime.

What’s more, the library of content is often larger than what’s available on TV. While broadcasters have to stick with scheduling requirements and regulations, streaming services don’t face any limits on the number of shows they can include in their libraries.

Online Learning Platforms

Schools and universities are also feeling the disruptive power of digital technology. Learning platforms are enabling people to access world-class education at a fraction of the normal price, imbuing them with skills they had to go to university to get before.

So-called “edtech” may be even more potent than conventional classroom-based approaches. That’s because these platforms often have to guarantee learning and invest in the best ways of doing it. They don’t take chances. Many use advanced pedagogic techniques enabling their students to complete courses in weeks that usually take years.

Udemy is a good example of this concept in action. It works with leading educational institutions to provide accessible and customizable courses for its wide audience of online students.

Telehealth

Before the pandemic, telehealth was a fringe activity. Only a tiny minority of clinical practices used it to see their patients.

These days, though, it’s the norm. Everyone wants these services.

Telehealth is valuable because it eliminates the need to travel. Patients, many of whom feel ill, don’t have to leave the comfort of their homes to see a doctor. It’s all done online. Medical professionals can then evaluate symptoms remotely and recommend specific medications to help individuals feel better.

Of course, physical exams aren’t possible. But for 70% of patients, these aren’t necessary. Doctors can make diagnoses remotely or get patients to test themselves if they have the proper kit available.

Gig Economy Platforms

Gig economy platforms are also taking off in popularity like never before. These provide spaces where people can sell their services without having to go to the effort of marketing themselves (as they would if they were starting from scratch).

These services mean that writers, designers, assemblers, and everyone else who sells individual services can tap into the target market. Almost every day, someone, somewhere needs some kind of digital service websites to keep their businesses afloat. And that’s where sites like Fiverr and Upwork can be so beneficial.

Of course, there’s no guarantee of work for those with skills. But additional side-incomes can be helpful for a lot of people.

E-commerce Marketplaces

E-commerce marketplaces like Etsy are making the online retail experience even better. The beauty of this site is the fact that it lets individuals sell their arts and crafts products, providing consumers with unique gifts that they simply couldn’t get anywhere else.

Digital Fitness Apps

Lastly, there’s been an explosion in interest in digital fitness apps, among the most interesting concepts to emerge recently. These offer fitness trackers and training plans for individuals interested in working out, improving their health, and reducing their body fat percentages.

The most famous example is Peloton, but there are many others. All of them can be accessed from home, the gym, or wherever the client happens to be.

One of the most useful features of these apps is the ability to connect with a coach in real time. If an exerciser needs a training session, they can simply use the app to find someone available online and use them for a session. What’s more, they can send the trainer videos of their technique and get real-time instructions to help them prevent injuries.

So, there you have it: some of the digital service website concepts taking the world by storm. These make nearly every aspect of life more straightforward, eliminating the need for physical paperwork. With AI now advancing, it will be interesting to see how much further this technology develops in the future.
