Ian Foster, is the Founder of Center Cam.
Ian Foster is an inventor, therapist, and entrepreneur renowned for creating Center Cam, the world’s first middle-screen webcam. His journey began while completing his Master’s internship in Clinical Social Work at the University of Alaska Anchorage. When the COVID-19 pandemic mandated a shift to remote counseling, Ian noticed the disconnect caused by traditional webcams during video calls. This insight led him to develop Center Cam to enhance virtual communication by enabling true eye contact.
Ian’s academic background is as diverse as his career. He holds an Associate of Arts and Sciences from Tacoma Community College, a BS in Psychology from Brigham Young University, an MBA in International Management from California State University-Dominguez Hills, and an MSW in Clinical Social Work from the University of Alaska Anchorage.
Currently residing in Utah with his family, Ian Foster continues his passion for helping others by working part-time as a therapist. His dedication to fostering connections shines through his innovative contributions to technology and mental health. Center Cam is a testament to his commitment to improving human interactions, making every digital conversation feel more personal.
