Hunter Dickinson is the Head of Partnerships at Whop, where he built the company’s entire sales organization from a one-person operation, himself, into its primary growth engine. This organization has generated over $526 million in GMV. An entrepreneur at his core, Hunter’s journey to Whop began with the acquisition of his decentralized hiring platform, ZenTask. He developed it while leading the NFT community ZenApe. Today, Dickinson leads a cross-functional team and steers Whop’s strategic partnerships with industry giants like Stripe and Iman Gadzhi. Hence, this work cements his reputation as a key innovator in community monetization and platform growth. This is a fact underscored by praise from tech leaders like Tinder co-founder Justin Mateen.
Before joining Whop, Hunter Dickinson made a name for himself as the co-founder of ZenApe in Australia. He secured an early grant from Cyberkongz’s “KongzTank,” raising roughly A$3 million. This was well above typical local pre-seed benchmarks. He pioneered a membership-based NFT model that blended blockchain technology with exclusive access. While building ZenApe, he created ZenTask, a decentralized job-matching tool that drew industry attention. It was acquired by Whop in 2022 for US$100k.
Initially serving as Head of Strategy, Hunter personally closed over $100 million in GMV. Hunter Dickinson then scaled the sales team into a 15-person cross-functional organization spanning sales, account management, and support. Under his leadership, more than 70% of Whop’s monthly new GMV now comes directly from sales. This has helped drive the company to over $1.3 billion in lifetime GMV. Recognized by investors like Aneel Ranadive for his execution and vision, Hunter continues to shape Whop’s growth through high-impact partnerships, a robust payments strategy, and market-defining community monetization models.
