As the Engineering & Design Services Manager, Cody Cecchetto skillfully oversees the day-to-day operations with a focus on efficiency, quality, and team development.
As a leader, Cody emphasizes a culture that fosters growth and development, placing a significant emphasis on automation and reducing the overall cognitive load of his team. His mantra is to achieve more work with less effort, creating an environment that supports the professional and personal advancement of team members.
Cody’s impact on the Engineering & Design Services team is evident through the development of various systems that have efficiently managed queue loads, enhanced productivity, and reduced non-conformances. Together, with a leadership team of supervisors and leads, Cody and his group have streamlined operations while ensuring a high standard of quality.
Initially enrolled in St. Francis Xavier University for a business degree, he pivoted to Mechanical Engineering Technology after realizing his passion for computers, technology, and problem-solving. Following his studies, he spent two years as a Mechanical Engineering Technician at Oxford Frozen Foods. However, his desire for more extensive involvement in 3D design led him to Protocase in 2015.
At Protocase, Cody quickly excelled in both productivity and quality, eventually becoming the first lead in the Engineering & Design Services department. In 2019, he assumed a management role, where his leadership continues to drive success and innovation.
Outside of the professional realm, Cody is a devoted father of two, with a passion for motorcycles, fishing, and hockey, particularly supporting his favorite team, the Colorado Avalanche. His love for fly-fishing, inherited from his father, underscores his appreciation for the outdoors, often embarking on adventures to explore and connect with nature.
