Most of the time, Al Kingsley is Chief Executive Officer of NetSupport with almost 30 years’ experience in educational technology and digital safeguarding. In addition to his role at NetSupport, he has a passion for education – particularly governance and raising organizational performance. With that in mind, he is the Chair of a Multi Academy Trust, the area’s Governors’ Leadership Group and the county SEND Board. He is also on the board of the Regional Schools Commissioner’s Headteacher Board for the East of England and north-east London, and the Local Authority Education Scrutiny Committee. A 2020 EdTech 50 winner, he continues to support schools nationally and internationally with mentoring, writing, and speaking at events about all things EdTech. NetSupport produces a range of solutions including a cloud-based remote learning solution and an IT Asset Management solution to manage and support IT assets across a school or district network. A man of two (or more) hats, 30 years in the #EdTech sector alongside 25 working in education. I’m a MAT chair, SEND board chair, DfE advisory board member for the East of England, education author and speaker.
I am the Group CEO of NetSupport Limited, a global provider of evidence-informed solutions for education and corporate settings. With over 30 years of development, NetSupport has secured over 300 industry awards and has a broad portfolio of products, including IT Asset Management, Remote Control, Classroom Management, Notification, eSafety, Servicedesk, and assessment software. I am chairing of the Cambs & Peterborough business board supporting economic and regional growth.
I am also hugely passionate about education on a wider scale, at all stages of life, and actively support others across the education and technology sectors wherever I can. I am an active EdTech advisor, mentor, author, and speaker, with multiple publications and recognitions, including the 2023 Edufuturist of the Year, the 2023 BESA “Inspirational Leader” Winner, ERA Outstanding Achievement Winner 2023 and the Forbes Technology Council Member.
I also serve as the Chair of Hampton Academies Trust, a community-focused Multi-Academy Trust, the DfE Advisory board for the East of England and the Chair of BESA EdTech Special Interest Group. My mission is to help give a voice to others and to support and embrace innovation, economic growth and skills. In the spirit of supporting others, I am also a 2024/25 UK Department for Business and Trade Export Champion.
