Later, as Calix’s Chief Development Officer, Michel disrupted the entire Access networking space. Specifically, he championed the company’s Software-Defined Access (SDA) architecture, SW platforms, and best-of-breed systems for fiber, copper, mobile/Wi-Fi distribution, and smart home managed services. Furthermore, by leveraging cloud-based analytics and a SaaS model, Michel positioned Calix to compete against formidable competitors. Even those with larger budgets and resources.

During his tenure as SVP of Junos software at Juniper Networks, Michel Langlois shaped the future of the company’s flagship network operating system. As a result, they delivered cutting-edge features that enhanced Juniper’s products. Earlier, during his tenure at Cisco Systems as SVP of Network Software and System Technology, Michel built and led one of the most inventive engineering teams in the industry. Over the past decade, his contributions were instrumental in establishing Cisco’s IOS (Internetwork Operating System). Notably, this system became a cornerstone of the connected world.
