Listen to Chirag’s Podcast!
Chirag Agrawal builds the platform infrastructure that lets AI systems run in production. He specializes in the foundational layers that sit between models and applications, orchestration, memory, and execution runtimes. His work powers one of the world’s largest consumer AI assistants.
Currently he leads development of the core multi-agent platform. This includes the agent execution runtime, coordination patterns and protocols, system prompts, long-horizon memory, and grounding services. He also invests in the fundamentals that make this real in production, evaluation workflows, guardrails, latency and cost controls, and the developer tooling that lets many teams move quickly.
Previously Chirag built a self-service orchestration platform that unified the build infrastructure for a large voice AI ecosystem. It replaced fragmented, product specific workflows with a single declarative interface. Developers specify what they want and the platform handles dependency resolution, parallel execution, versioning, and automatic rollback. Product teams integrate through a standard service provider interface instead of custom code. The platform also provides shared guardrails and uniform observability, making incidents easier to resolve. The result is predictable delivery, faster integration, and a consistent developer experience across products.
Chirag’s expertise centers on making agentic systems production-ready. For developers this means clear SDKs and typed function calling that binds model outputs to real APIs, plus runtimes that execute plans as configurable graphs. On the platform side he focuses on memory and context management, prompt design for reliable tool use, and token compression and prompt caching that cut cost and latency while maintaining quality. His work aligns with emerging standards for tool use and agent interoperability, so teams can integrate without bespoke glue.
Beyond engineering he contributes through advisory work, peer review, technical writing and public talks, and mentoring startups and student teams. His focus remains constant: give developers clear building blocks and move the heavy lifting into the platform so great AI features can ship and keep working at scale.
