Omar Sarieddine began his career in 2012 as a community-based operations manager and event planner in the UAE where he developed a strong foundation in process optimization, technology implementation, and digital transformation. This early experience fueled his passion for using advanced technology to solve real-world business problems. In 2016, he launched and scaled a local hub for creatives and community members that hosted everything from workshops to festivals, thus gaining first-hand insight into audience building, event operations, and ticketing infrastructure, noting the structural inefficiencies creators and organizers faced when working with legacy platforms.
These combined experiences led Omar to deepen his knowledge of emerging technologies with a thorough study of blockchain, NFTs, and programmable content, completing many notable certifications, including applications of blockchain technology from MIT. Shortly thereafter, he set out to address the systemic challenges within the live events industry.
In 2020, Omar began pursuing emerging technologies that offered a clear path toward traceability, security, and verified ownership in ticketing. His goal was to develop a platform that improved regulation and oversight around ticket scalping, fraud, and inflated secondary markets, while giving creators and event organizers greater control over their audiences, data, and revenue. After an impromptu meeting with entrepreneur Abdulla Hisham, a serial founder and co-founder of Foradian Technologies, one of the world’s top EdTech platforms, Omar co-founded Ticmint. The company officially launched in 2023 alongside a leadership team with deep experience across fintech, ticketing, and large-scale platform infrastructure. Ticmint launched with almost instantaneous appeal. Now, having been utilized by major cultural festivals, sports bodies, government-run events, and large-scale international programs across Asia and Europe, Ticmint is expanding.
Under Omar’s leadership, Ticmint has evolved into a white-label ticketing and event commerce platform often described as a “Shopify for ticketing.” The platform consolidates ticketing, access control, analytics, and marketing into one system, helping organizers reduce costs, eliminate fragmented software stacks, and build repeat demand.
Today, Omar is recognized as an emerging authority in event technology and ticketing infrastructure, spearheading digital transformation and advocating for a future where organizers own their data, audiences, and revenue streams. Based between Dubai and London, he continues to build systems that position ticketing not as a transaction, but as long-term growth infrastructure for creators, institutions, and global enterprises alike.
